Overview
Download CVHi, I’m Chimezie Nwagbo, a Software Engineer (frontend leaning) with over 5 years of experience building fast, reliable, and intuitive web products. I started my journey in development driven by curiosity and a desire to understand how great digital experiences come together. Over the years, that curiosity has grown into a deep, hands-on expertise in building applications that are not only performant, but genuinely useful to the people who rely on them.
I specialize in Javascript (it’s mostly Typescript now to be honest) and the MERN stack, with a strong focus on React, Node.js, Next.js and modern frontend architecture. My work spans fintech, enterprise platforms, and consumer-facing applications giving me experience with both large-scale system design and highly refined user experiences. Whether I’m architecting a dashboard, optimizing a slow workflow, or building a product from the ground up, I enjoy solving problems with clean, thoughtful engineering.
At the core of my work is a focus on clarity, maintainability, and collaboration. I enjoy taking ownership of features end-to-end, mentoring other developers, and transforming product goals into scalable technical solutions.
Stack
My day-to-day stack revolves around React, Next.js, and Node.js, supported by tools like:
- TypeScript for reliability and long-term maintainability
- Tailwind CSS/ShadCn for fast UI development
- Redux, Recoil, Zustand for predictable state management
- REST & GraphQL for API-driven features
- Vercel, AWS, Docker for modern deployment workflows
This blend of frontend, backend, and product-focused experience gives me a full-stack perspective, even when I’m working primarily on the frontend.
Education
I hold a Bachelor's a degree in Electronic Engineering, a program that grounded me in problem-solving, systems thinking, and the fundamentals of how technology works at its core. That foundation made my transition into software engineering both natural and exciting.
Most of my growth, however, has come from continuous learning, building real-world products, leading frontend teams, and staying curious about modern web development. Over the years, that mix of engineering discipline and hands-on experience has shaped the way I approach building scalable, thoughtful software today.
